Water Safety

 On Thursday Room 11 had a special lady coming to their class and her name is Whaia Moe and she come to our class to talk about water safety and what thing we could use when we are in trouble. So when she come into our class she was talking to use about her and what to do when we have question, once she was finished we started talking about water. The thing we are talking about water is how people call for help so what she did she told us to lay down so that what all of us did then she told us when we are struggling in deep water and if we need to call for help. When we are doing it she said that if we are struggling our core can help us and then she told us to pull our knees up and put our shoulders and head up.


When we did this she said that it is good for our core, it was kinda easy for me but I could tell that other people was struggling. Once we were done with that we move on with a type of game that was dangerous and we talk about it but after we talk about it she told us a sad story about a boy that die because of his two friends. After that story we move on to a different subject and it was about ribs and how dangerous it can be so when she was talking to us about rib she asked everybody a question and said that she will let us think about it. Once everybody has got to there groups she said something to everybody and then after that she had to go.  I like it, it was fun.

Summer Learning Journey art book

 One day Room 11 was learning about Summer Learning Journey they talk about what prize you can win and if you want to sign up and how to sign up. When they were nearly got to the end she said that there was some activities to do when we are on our break so what our teacher decided was to let us do the starting activities and if any of us wanted to do it we could sign up. When we were going to do a activities the first starting activities  was the act book and the art book was all about drawing pictures so when we were going to do the task most of the people in my class need to get on the activities so I needed to help everybody and that what I did. When everybody was on the activities I started to do our art, when I was doing my art I notice that when you click on a art colour and click on a white part the white part turns into the colour you picked.  So when I finished my art I was told to put it on our blog.

Grief

 When a family died you can feel sad and it can get very hard and it can take up to a week to get over with I know how it feels because I have had the same feeling so if you or someone you know are feeling sad because someone or you pet has died you can help them, there is a poster that can help people feel happy so let's get into it.


The poster is called wellbeing and the are things that can help people feel happy and they are Connect, Be active, Give, Take Notice and Keep learning. Keeping connect can help because it can help you let out your feelings and it can always make feel that there is always someone to talk to, Be Active means that when your doing fitness it sometimes makes you happy. Give means to Give times to other or Give time to yourself, Take notice mean to take notice of the things around you and sometimes it makes you happy. Keep learning and this mean that when you feeling sad you can learn from this and then you can teach others, when you do those thing it can help you.

Jelly beans Music

 Today we learned how to read music notes. What is music note, music note are note that have rhythm to the beat and there are only seven letters they are A, B, C, D, E, F and G. When We went to the hall and sat in front of the teacher and then she told us about music note, when she was done she start to show us different note 




When she told us the difference notes she started to say the meaning when she was done some of us didn't get it so she went with some people that didn't know it and other people had to go in a buddy. When she was done she wanted us to remember it so that we could play a remembering game. When everyone was ready we started playing ,most of us were out but the only one in was me and my friend it was only  30 second and then my friend forgot one of the word so that mean that is won after that we went in a line and went back in class

Dance and Movement

On Tuesday room 11 went to dance class so we had to go into the hall for it. When we got to the hall we had to sit down in the semicircle, when all of the students was in the semicircle she started off by asking us to call her Mrs G after she finished saying that she told us to get into pairs and make up a four step handshake and to remember it. When all the student knew their handshake she told us to tell our partner that they were number one, when we did that she said to go and find another partner, when we did she told us to make a new one, when we did we had to find another partner but she wanted us to mixes with the girls so I went with one and she wanted us to use our feet and jump and turn. so I thought of one and said it to her and then we try doing it, when we did it when remember it so then she said that we were going to play a game.

When we were ready to play the game she explain how the game work. When we all understood  we started to play the game when she called out a number we had to go to the partner that we had. When she finished playing the game she wanted us to get into partner so when I got into one she asked us how we did in lockdown, when we told her what we felt in lockdown she started writing words on the board when she was done she told us to pick three words and then make action that like the words but she used this word called locomotor and it means that it had to be still. I went with my partner and we were going to do angry, sad and surprised, when we were doing it we only had about 1 to 2 minutes so when the timer was up we had to sit down and listen to what she had to say so when she was done we had to stand up and show the class what we had practise. After we show the class we had to sit down again.

When all the students was sitting down she told us what she wanted and then we had to do it some of the word she said was repetition and the meaning of that was repeat the move twice and non locomotor and that means that we can move around and the last one was retrograde and that means to do it backwards. When she was done my partner and I was practising our move but we did it quickly because we only had 1-2 minutes so when we were done we still had some time left so we just sat down because we were exhausted, when the time was up all the students had to sit down and listen so when she was done we had to go back to class because the bell rang. I like dance class it was fun.
